Brands we fit

Scudo bathrooms, fitted properly

A coordinated UK bathroom range we fit across Fife and Edinburgh — and two rooms we finished with it recently.

The brand

What Scudo actually is

Scudo is a UK bathroom brand that launched in 2013. It's a brand and trading name owned by Harrison Bathrooms Ltd, based in Leeds, who supply it through the trade rather than selling it on the high street. If you've not heard of it, that's why — it turns up in bathroom showrooms and on fitters' quotes more than it does in adverts.

The thing that sets it apart from a lot of what's on the shelf is that it's designed as a set. Furniture, basins, toilets, enclosures, taps, towel rails and even the roll holder are made to line up — same finishes, same design language. Buy a bathroom piece by piece from four different suppliers and you find out at the end that there are three different chromes in the room. That doesn't happen if the whole lot comes off one range.

We're not tied to Scudo and we don't only fit it. It's on this page because it's the range we reach for most often when someone wants a bathroom that looks considered without paying premium-European money for it, and because two of the rooms below are exactly that.

Worth being straight about:we're an independent plumbing and heating firm, not a Scudo dealership. We fit whatever suits the room and the budget — if a different brand is the better answer for your bathroom, we'll tell you that.

What you can actually get

Scudo cover the whole room, which is the point of them. Here's what that means in practice.

Furniture

Wall-hung and floor-standing vanity units, WC units and tall storage, with soft-close drawers as standard. Gloss white, grey, anthracite and wood-effect fronts, including the fluted doors that have become their signature.

Sanitaryware

Basins and toilets across coordinated ranges — countertop, inset and wall-hung basins, close-coupled, back-to-wall and wall-hung WCs, in a white glazed finish.

Showering

Enclosures, walk-in panels, wetroom screens and trays in 6mm and 8mm toughened safety glass, with adjustment on the profiles for walls that aren't quite true. Low-profile trays in the usual sizes.

Brassware

Basin and bath taps, bar valves and concealed thermostatic showers, all finished to match across the range rather than mixed from different suppliers.

Heating

Towel rails and designer radiators in finishes that line up with the rest of the room, so the radiator isn't the one chrome thing in a black bathroom.

Mirrors & accessories

Mirrors, illuminated mirror cabinets and the small stuff — roll holders, robe hooks, shelves — in the same finish family as the taps.

The finishes

Scudo run the same colour finishes across brassware, accessories and heating, so you can commit to one and have it hold across the room:

  • Chrome
  • Matte Black
  • Brushed Brass
  • Gunmetal
  • Brushed Bronze
  • Brushed Nickel

Both of the bathrooms below are chrome, which is still the safest bet for resale and the easiest to get spares for. Matte black and brushed brass look superb and are more work to keep clean — worth knowing before you pick, not after.
